Existing Facilities:

  • Audit of state of effectiveness of plant (or an individual installation) inspection programs and systems related to process/pressure equipment integrity and reliability (custom designed programs to meet individual operators needs which would include understanding of degradation mechanisms, awareness of process/operating influences, collected data analysis quality, communications, feedback loops, etc...)
  • Effectiveness audit of plant (or an individual installation) maintenance programs / systems (assessment of application of state-of-the-art approaches to maintenance, and quality of its support of plant business objectives - customer designed programs to meet individual operators' needs)
  • Audit of equipment systems and documentation (plant change, drawing update, access top and use of engineering documents and standards, quality and FFP of Engineering Standards)
  • Trouble-shooting and failure analysis (determination of degradation mechanism and design/leading of test programs to determine root cause of failures)
  • Gap analysis of the above and design of improvements to meet company business objectives through advanced, state of the art approaches
  • Corrosion Control and Integrity/Reliability improvement manuals and programs (Drafting of detailed instructions in a form manual integrated in the enginering/maintenance document system of how to maintain plant integrity and reliability in a cost effective manner (mainly aimed at stationary equipment, but machinery may be included as well))
  • Assistance with implementation of improved inspection and maintenance programs (Integration of corrosion monitoring and inspection programs into facility engineering and maintenance systems, documentation streamlining, optimization of systems such as SAP-PM Modules, WO modules, Visions modules, training of engineering inspection and maintenance personnel)

New Facilities:

  • Selection and optimization of materials of contruction for main process facilities (special expertise in corrosion resistant materials, chemical and aqueous phase corrosion issues, high temperature materials, hydrogen embrittlement, hydrogen induced cracking problems, environmentally assisted cracking, designs resistant to in-service deterioration and fracture toughness, design of material test and qualification programs, etc...)
  • Special aspects of Pressure Equipment and piping design (review of designs to minimize service deterioration, fit for purpose NDE programs, design of closures, HAZOP reviews, engineered safety issues, design risk assessment and comparisons, special design aspects for safe high pressure, high temperature facilities, etc...)
  • Resolution of difficult welding problems and special concerns in welding metallurgy (carbon steel materials, low Cr materials, stainless steels, Ni based alloys, PH alloys, hard facing and corrosion resisting overlays, Aluminum dissimilar joint welds, etc...)
  • Development of effective, intergrated programs/systems for corrosion mitigation (process design analysis from equipment integrity point of view, identification of weak areas and type of deterioration mechanism, probability of occurence, setting of their detection mechanisms, computerization of monitoring and reporting, preparation of detailed manuals for the Owner/Operator)
  • Development of advanced, state-of-the-art, risk-based, fit for purpose inspection programs (development of detailed on-stream and off-stream 'TA' inspection programs and plans to detect in-service deterioration, actual condition and residual life of equipment)
  • Assessment of manufacturing facilities for pressure equipment, boilers and heat exchangers, pressure piping, valves and fittings (audit of manufacturers' facilities, their technical competence and staff capabilities and assessment of manufacturers' procedures consistency and reliability, recommendations for inclusion to preferred vendors lists)
  • Assessment of quality of design of piping components and fittings (audit of designs and fittings and critical commodity items, et. valves and specialty valves and fittings, pipe, plate, casting and forging)
  • Audit of engineering work quality in Engineering Contractors' shops (review of compliance with Owners standards and procedures, recommendations for acceptance of proposed changes and deviations, review of design functionality from reliability and engineered safety point of view, etc...)
